FAMOUS KHVANCHKARA AND MORE ...

Racha is a western region of Georgia, separated from the flatlands of the country by mountains. Thanks to its own unique microclimate, Racha is home to the growth of unique grape varieties. But Racha is famous not only for its wines but also for its beautiful natural landmarks.

Day 1. Tbilisi - Racha, Ambrolauri

We meet at Tbilisi airport and head west to the Racha region. On the way, we stop for lunch in a charming place where excellent Georgian dishes and homemade wine are served. Overnight in Ambrolauri, the administrative center of Racha.

Day 2. Khvamli Mount

We embark on a two-day horseback trek to Mount Khvamli, a sacred and mysterious place with hidden caves. This place is rich in legends and still holds unsolved mysteries. We will be accompanied by an instructor-guide. We will sleep in tents. Overnight on Mount Khvamli.

Day 3. Khvanchkara winery

We descend from the mountain. Transport awaits us, and we return to Ambrolauri. We will visit the famous Khvanchkara winery, where we will try their famous and wonderful wines. Overnight in Ambrolauri.

Day 4. Sairme pillars - Gvirishi waterfall - Georgian dinner of village

We will take a hiking trip to the Sairme pillars (a natural monument, weathered rocks protruding from the ground like fingers) and the Gvirishi waterfall. In the dense forest, there is also an ancient monastery that we will visit. The hike is not difficult, so we won't need a guide. From there, we will go to a village, where a farewell dinner awaits us in a traditional Georgian family. Overnight in Ambrolauri.

Day 5. Nikortsminda Church - Tbilisi

In the morning, we leave Ambrolauri and return to Tbilisi. On the way, we will visit the Nikortsminda Church (10th century), one of the most beautiful monuments of Georgian architecture.
