TO PEAK OF THE CAUCASUS - SVANETI
This is a mountainous region, so all hikes here are related to cliffs. The proposed routes are not for ordinary tourists, although they do not require professional skills. Here, not only extreme hikes will be listed, but also historical and ethnographic excursions around Svaneti. This region, due to its inaccessibility, has been isolated from the plains of Georgia for centuries, which is why it has preserved its originality and historical monuments not damaged by enemies.
Day 1. Tbilisi - Inguri Dam - Svaneti, Mestia
We leave Tbilisi and head to Svaneti. The road is not close and will take 8-10 hours. We will stop for lunch on the way. To take a break from the long journey, we will visit the Inguri Hydroelectric Power Station - one of the highest dams in the world. There will be a tour of the labyrinth of tunnels located in the body of the dam - a very informative and exciting excursion. From the Inguri HPS to Mestia, the administrative center of Svaneti, it is a two-hour drive along a picturesque mountain road. Overnight in Mestia.
Day 2. Chalaadi Glacier - Margiani tower - Mestia
We will have practical climbing lessons on the rocks in the Chalaadi gorge. Then we will hike to the source of the Chalaadi River and the Chalaadi Glacier. We will also have an excursion to Mestia and visit the Margiani Tower (12th century) and the Khergiani Tower. Overnight in Mestia.

Day 3. Hike to Mount Guli
In the morning, we start our hike to Mount Guli. The trail starts at 1600 meters altitude and reaches a peak of 2960 meters. The total length of the trail is 19 kilometers. It is not the most difficult climb, but it requires physical fitness and endurance. From the top of the mountain, we will have an amazing view of the gorges of Svaneti. Overnight in Mestia.
Day 4. Koruldi Lake
On this day, the route becomes more difficult. We will travel by car to Lake Koruldi, where we will start the hike from an altitude of 2700 meters and ascend to the highest point at 3400 meters. The last section of the trail will be quite challenging, as this is the altitude where eternal snows begin. The route is quite difficult and, despite the small difference in altitude, will take up to 6 hours to complete. We will spend the night in Mestia.
Day 5. Hike to altitude of 3500 m
This day features the most difficult route. We will drive to the upper station of the Tetnuldi cable car and traverse 4 kilometers to the base of the mountain before ascending to the peak at an altitude of 3500 meters. Ropes and safety harnesses will be necessary at this point. We will spend the night in Mestia.
Day 6. Svaneti - Tbilisi
In the morning, we will leave Svaneti and return to Tbilisi.
